The Adidas Women’s Challenge (formally Hydro Active Women’s Challenge) is a fantastic 5k race suitable for all ages and abilities and great way to kick start that healthier lifestyle. Races take place in London, Liverpool and Birmingham. Friends of Colombia for Social Aid (FOCSA) will participate in the London- Hyde Park event, for the 11th time this year. This women-only run or walk is one of FOCSA core events and a great way to have fun, get fit and raise money for our charity.

Atacama Crossing 09

From 29^th March Tim Phillips will be tackling one of the most difficult endurance races in the world (second only to the Dakar Rally), 250 Kilometres on foot through the Atacama desert in Chile, and all to raise money (through FOCSA) for the Hogar Santa Rita, a home for children with severe physical and learning disabilities in Bogota. The race takes place over 7 days, and each contestant must carry his or her own gear, food and clothing through an environment where daytime temperatures can exceed 32 degrees, and where there is, literally, NEVER any rain.
